Rencontre Assyriologique Internationale is being held at Penn summer 2016. The organization committee includes several Kolb fellows: Dr. Grant Frame, Dr. Joshua Jeffers, Fellow, Dr. Holly Pittman, Senor Fellow, Dr. Lauren Ristvet, Dr. Steve Tinney, Senior Fellow, and Dr. Richard Zettler, Senior Fellow. The theme of the 62nd Rencontre, which will be held on July 11th through 15th, is "Ur in the Twenty-First Century CE."



Senior Fellow C. Brian Rose has curated the upcoming exhibition "The Golden Age of King Midas," which can be viewed at the Penn Museum from February 13 to November 27, 2016.



C. Brian Rose instructed Naval ROTC students Cultural Heritage issues at the Penn museum on Monday, April 11, 2016. He guided twelve midshipmen of the University of Pennsylvania NROTC (Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps), seniors from the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University and Drexel University through the galleries featuring ancient history and archaeology of Egypt, Mesopotamia, ancient Rome, and Anatolia, as well as The Golden Age of King Midas special exhibition, which he curated.
